September 2024 Month in Review
Hi loves,
Happy October 🎃 And, welcome back to my monthly newsletter :) it’s better late than never ;)
Current musings:
September reminded me of my humanness. There are no guarantees in life, and I’m just a silly human figuring it out as I go. Sometimes this can be a hard pill for me to swallow. I’ve always been a go-getter and over-achiever. I know I can do amazing things, and when I don’t have the capacity to show up as amazing, it can feel like I’m failing at life.
I worked through a lot of this mentality last year as I was recovering from corporate burnout. But like anything that shows up as a pattern in our life, the roots are deep seated and require tending and care.
Navigating heavy emotions left little room for much else.
I was feeling big things: anger and heartbreak and disappointment and loss of trust. As I choose to continuously open my heart, I am newly open to feeling the depth of contrast. A pain so vivid, a portal to the void, for nothing and everything is. I have been both bursting at the seams, uncontrollable energy begging for release, and shriveled like a deflated balloon, nothing left inside of me, an empty vessel.
It’s been a month of turning inward, coming home to me. Creating space to die away to self. Old me has gotten me this far, and I am eternally grateful, and yet, she isn’t the woman that’s needed to show up today.
I am eternally evolving and growing into me. And for that I am grateful.
My mantra has been: “I can do hard things.”
Month in review:
Poetry seems to be thing only thing I have the energy to share lately. And with reason, it’s raw and unfiltered—which feels resonate with my current state of being 🤪

Pain & Heartbreak are My Bedfellows, Part I
Pain & Heartbreak are My Bedfellows, Part II
I have a couple of longer pieces in the works. I’ll be sharing about what it means to live an embodied and devoted life and my experience with the life-death-life cycle soon (hopefully this month ✨ if/when I get my shit together ✨).
Last month I announced that I started teaching a yoga course at ASU. This month, I am excited to report back the joy teaching young minds brings me. I get a lot of blank stares, but I also have many students who are slowly coming into coherence with their mind, body, and breath. As a teacher, it is so exciting to see concepts click, and then, students taking a vested interest in the teachings and practices.
I’ve also been invited back to teach this course again next semester 🥰
Yoga is near and dear to my heart. It has been my awakening, my path to Becoming. It is such an honor to share this lineage and practice with others.
If you are interested in deepening your practice, I offer one-on-one sessions focused on embodied understanding of asanas, tailored to your goals, combined with yogic teachings and esoteric philosophy.
Upcoming offerings:
In full transparency, life has been heavy. I’ve been ebbing and flowing in emotion, coming into resonance with great heartbreak. I needed me, and didn’t have extra capacity to pour outward into new offerings, as I had intended.
With this said, everything I planned to launch this past month got put on hold 😅 but I believe that dreams deserve to be followed, and dreams become our reality through taking action (ahhh the masculine and feminine meeting in union once again). So, I am excited to re-announce the following offerings!
Ceremony of Self
Ceremony of Self is an intimate six-week online immersion to reclaim your devotion to self, embody your sacred sensuality, and activate the most vibrant version of you through self love, so that you can experience living in the ceremony of life.
We will be diving into self love, mirror work, self worship, altar building, self expression, and more!
Enrollment opens soon! Stay tuned for more details.
Emotional Alchemy
I hosted my first embodiment and creative writing workshop, Emotional Alchemy & Self Expression, back in August. This was a well-loved workshop, and I will be hosting it again come early November! Stay tuned for updates.
“Madison’s Emotional Alchemy workshop was everything I didn’t realize I needed. Starting with community and flowing into an ecstatic dance had me pushing against all of the boundaries I hold myself to in my daily life. Feeling free and ready to explore all sides of myself—including my sharp edges, Madison held us as we dove into poetry. Written word is a powerful, living thing. Often times difficult to navigate its trenches, Madison held the light for us to weave our own paths in word and poetry. Creating something beautiful, together. The experience, the energy, and the passion is something I’ve carried in my heart since. Aho.”

“Emotional Alchemy was so entirely fulfilling from beginning to end. Led by Madison’s intuitive, calming and wise presence, she provided a route into our deepest depths. Everything from ecstatic dancing and slow movements of all kinds, I got to really tap into my body and voice leading me deep into my heart. I was continuously inspired to find my innermost sacred thoughts and dreams. By the end I had been able to really put into writing what my soul led me to say. Her sound bath, was so touching and I felt connected with each beautiful heart in the room, and really felt reunited with my inner most knowing! I left there with such a beautiful connection to my own creativity and I’m so grateful to have had Madi’s loving guidance to return to my own creative spirit once again!! It’s beautiful to be led, seen and witnessed on all of Madison’s guided journeys! She is a such an inspiration always, in so many ways, love you!! Thank you thank you thank you🥰”

Join us for an immersive experience dripping in self love, union, and purpose. Overlooking the Caribbean ocean and nestled in the jungles of Mexico, women are invited to remember the sacredness of Self, meet new layers of sensuality, and uncover their deepest potential.
Devoted is for the woman who desires personal freedom, conscious relating and to become the embodiment of self love. This is an invitation to come home to yourself through guided practices and authentic relating, leaning into safely exploring the journey into the unknown and entering the depths of your inner world. At Devoted, we are offering this transformation through somatic practices, embodiment exploration, sacred ceremony, energetic awakening, and ancestral healing.
Women’s Gathering
3-part series on devotion to self, union, and purpose
We held our second gathering on September 25 at Abundant Space. Devoted to Union led us to conversations about self love, masculine-feminine energetics, mirror work, and connection with sisters. What a sacred experience to witness and be witnessed.
Thank you to all the women who showed up with an open heart and mind! We loved co-creating with you.

One-on-One Yoga Teacher Mentorship
Lastly, I’m in the prelaunch phase of offering one-on-one yoga teacher mentorship. This is intended for new yoga teachers recently finished with YTT or about to finish, who don’t know what to do with their certification.
Taking this journey myself a few years ago, I went from teaching one class per week while working full time at a marketing/advertising agency to launching a retreat and women’s empowerment business, quitting my corporate job, teaching yoga at multiple studios and to private clients, becoming adjunct faculty, and facilitating community events, among a host of other offerings.
If I can do it, you can too!
This mentorship will include weekly check ins, accountability, goal setting, diving into limiting beliefs and overcoming obstacles, finding your voice and niche as a teacher, and personal access to pick my brain on how to create a sustainable life that you love!
If this sounds interesting, please reach out!
I’ll end this letter the way I love ending yoga classes.
Let’s take a moment of gratitude. Gratitude for the practice of living. Gratitude for your body and all the adventures it takes you on. Gratitude for your mind and its tenacity at facing the world. Gratitude for your heart and all the love it has to give and receive. And gratitude for your spirit, the innermost part of Being, of peace and serenity.
With love,
Madison
